Un porte-parole du premier ministre britannique a décrit la situation comme « extrêmement préoccupante ». L’ONG Greenpeace s’est dite « extrêmement préoccupée » par les « multiples risques toxiques »



A collision between the tanker Stena-Immaculate and the cargo ship Solong in the North Sea off the coast of Yorkshire resulted in at least 32 injuries, a fire, and a kerosene leak. The search for a missing crew member from the cargo ship Solong has been called off. The cargo ship was carrying an undetermined amount of alcohol and fifteen containers of sodium cyanide. The tanker was part of a US Maritime Administration program for fuel supply security.
